Meals on Wheels, Summer of 2012-Present

Deliverer

Projects/Accomplishments: Drives to each house on a specific route and delivers meals to the elderly. Makes approximately 8 deliveries to different houses each time.

 

Race for the Cure, summer of 2011, summer of 2012, and summer of 2013

“Cure-Leader”

Projects/Accomplishments: Cheered the runners on to the finish line, helped the U.S. Air Force to hand out water, performed on stage.

The Blue Valley Center for Advanced Professional Studies (CAPS) is an entrepreneurial, innovative approach to education that is designed to give high school students hands-on, real world experience in a profession of their choice.

 

  • Greenbush Conference: 2013 "Timely Tools for the 21st Century Teacher"

  • Harmony Middle School, Ms. Garcia: Observed a middle school Spanish classroom, 26 students. 

  • Harmony Elementary School, Lunch Duty: Volunteered to monitor all 3rd- 5th grade students as they eat lunch, catered to the students’ needs.

  • Liberty View Elementary School, Miss Parker: Observed and helped out in a 1st grade classroom, taught a math lesson to the students, helped the teacher around the classroom 

  • Harmony Elementary School, Mrs. Ashen: Observed and helped out in a 5th grade classroom, answered questions, helped teacher grade papers and make bulletin boards

  • Liberty View Elementary School, Miss Parker: Started 1st partnership of CAPS Teacher Ed internship, student taught the kids, taught 3 lessons, assisted throughout daily activities, attended a PLC meeting

  • Prairie Star Elementary School, Miss Jardon: Started 2nd partnership of CAPS Teacher Ed internship, student taught the kids, taught 2 lessons, assisted throughout daily activities, attended a PLC meeting
